SERVICE FAQ
IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME EXPERIENCING CHURCH?
Whether it is your first time visiting a church service, you're returning for the first time after a break, or looking for a church, we want to do our best to make you feel welcomed. So we will do our best to get to know you and those you may bring with you, we'll introduce you to others within the church and we'll be happy to explore any questions you may have.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE SERVICES?
Services are held on Sundays from 10:00am on our church premises: 390 Vickers Street, Sebastopol.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SERVICE?
It may sound 'religious', but a church service is a time in our busy weeks to spend time:
-
understanding and learning more about who God is; and
-
meeting and encouraging other Christians in our local community.
During a service we:
-
Sing: To praise God and encourage each other
-
Pray: To talk to God- share our concerns and our thanks
-
Read: To see what God says to us in the Bible
-
Listen: To hear a talk that explains what we read in the Bible
IS THERE A CRECHE/KIDS PROGRAM DURING CHURCH?
At Grace we encourage parents and children to worship together. Our service includes a children's talk, and children can access colouring in materials for use during the service. A cry room is available for parents with infants and toddlers with speakers so parents/carers can still participate in the service.
ARE THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS?
Bus route 24 will take you through Sebastopol, exit at the Vickers St/Albert St stop which is outside the front of the church.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Parking is available on our church premises, this includes disability parking. Alternatively, parking is also available alongside Vickers Street or nearby side streets.
DO I HAVE TO GIVE MONEY?
If you are visiting, there is no expectation to give. However we take a collection during each service, which is a chance for anyone in the congregation to contribute to the church.
